WOIS Math Game Flipgrid

This past February we hosted a Math Game Night at our school.  After that night several students told me that they really enjoyed playing the games at Family Math Night. Before the schools were closed I made a Flip Grid so students and teachers had a place to share a math game that they like to play.  Now that we are all staying at home this can be a fun way to share games with each other!

Students can participate by using their student email address.  Once you are logged in you will find instructions and a link to a google slide with games you can share.

Let’s have fun practicing and playing with math!

Great Math Resources for Parents and Teachers!

Hello to everyone that has found my page!  I am the math interventionist at White Oak Intermediate School. I miss teaching math to all of our Intermediate School Roughnecks so much!  Thank you for finding my page!

This February I was fortunate enough to attend a workshop given by Math Specialist, Dr. Nicki Newton. She is so inspiring and always willing to share many free resources.  Below you will find a few of her, and my, favorite math websites.  I hope they can be a great resource for you while you are learning math at home.

If you have any questions or would like help with your math assignments please email me at [email protected]  You can also email me if you just want to say hello! I’d love to hear from you!

I hope to see all of our Intermediate Roughnecks soon!

Missing you!

XtraMath 30 Day Summer Challenge

The 2019 Summer Math Fact Challenge forms are coming home soon!  Be sure to look for yours!

The 30 Day Math Fact Challenge:

We are challenging all of our students moving into 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades to practice their basic math facts in XtraMath for 30 days from May 25, 2019 to August 14, 2019!  We have set up an XtraMath account for each student. All you need to do is log into your XtraMath Account 30 days and practice until the teacher says you are done. This will only take 10-15 minutes each day.  Keep track and return your form to your teacher by August 23, 2019.  Students who complete the challenge and return their form will earn an extra VIP recess, a Summer Math Challenge t-shirt, an ice cream treat, and recognition on our school blog!
